У меня действительно старая версия Eclipse (Eclipse Java Oxygen), и я пытался ее обновить.

Я зашел в Справку>Проверить наличие обновлений и получил сообщение об ошибке: Unable to read repository at http://download.eclipse.org/oomph/updates/milestone/latest/compositeContent.xml. Address family not supported by protocol family: connect

Я попытался заново установить eclipse, но это не сработало. Я удалил папку .eclipse, .p2 и eclipse из места установки и попытался установить новую версию eclipse в новый каталог, и я получил эту ошибку:
