Я пытаюсь протестировать свое существующее приложение, которое содержит некоторый I18n

Это мой тест:

describe "visiting landing page" do
  it "should display the welcome text" do

  end
end
  

У меня следующая ошибка:

 Failures:

  1) visiting landing page should display the welcome text
     Failure/Error: visit root_path

     ActionController::UrlGenerationError:
       No route matches {:action=>"landing", :controller=>"home"} missing required keys: [:locale]

если я изменю root_path в "en" тестовых проходах… Но я не уверен, правильно ли это делать таким образом…
Есть ли что-то более традиционное для rails?

Вы можете объявить локаль в качестве необязательного параметра в своих маршрутах:

scope "(:locale)", locale: /en|fr/ do

end

  before_action :set_locale

    def set_locale
       I18n.locale = params[:locale] || I18n.default_locale
    end
